High School was key for Lisa’s professional experience since she started working as a teenager in the financial industry while taking commercial courses at school.  After performing different positions during seven years in this industry, Lisa joined the administrative team at Hanes Menswear, a Division of Sara Lee Corporation, as the Administrative Assistant for the President.  While occupying this position, she became a team player in different taskforces and committees promoting Workforce Diversity, Safety Culture, Professional Development, Employee Relations, and others. She also started and was the editor for the corporate newsletter/magazine for the Division.  Lisa was recognized with the Annual “Fox Award” for exceeding expectations and contributing for the corporation’s goals.

After the corporation’s downsizing in Puerto Rico, Lisa and her family owned two food businesses in which she had the opportunity to develop in many other ways. Lisa and her family decided to relocate to Orlando, Florida, in 2006.  Since 2007, she has been committed to the National Hispanic Corporate Achievers, Inc., also known as Hispanic Achievers.  Lisa was recruited as Coordinator of Diversity Career Fairs and in the present, she is a Board Officer and Executive Director for the non-profit Organization.  She has been able to direct, with the advice of the Chairman, several programs to further education of students and corporate executives, to promote recruitment making special efforts for minorities, and assisting in the coordination of programs for individuals with disabilities.

Lisa is also the Administrator of the first official Hispanic License Plate in the Nation and official tag to be used in the State of Florida, and a member of the Hispanic Achievers Grant Council. She has also been Co-Host at Hispanic SpeakOut TV Show aired on Bright House Networks in Central Florida discussing and interviewing guests on issues of interest. She also had a short segment on a radio show to provide professional development tools to the radio audience in order to succeed in the search of a career.
