Denise Singleton is President of ThrivePROS Consulting – a business advisory firm providing practical advice and solutions to small and medium-sized companies.  The firm offers a broad range of services including strategic planning, business development, sales and marketing techniques as well as operational analysis and training.  

Mrs. Singleton is also an Adjunct Professor at Rider University in New Jersey. 

Prior to this, Mrs. Singleton was the Chief Diversity Officer and Vice-President at MetLife.   In that role, she was responsible for leading diversity and work-life initiatives across the 40,000+ person corporation, as well as advancing MetLife’s diversity strategy around workforce, workplace and marketplace opportunities.   

During her tenure at MetLife, Mrs. Singleton developed many marketing and leadership programs.  She joined MetLife in 1988 as a management associate in the company’s pensions department.  She advanced through positions of increasing responsibility and, in 1993, became a manager of diversity marketing initiatives in the personal insurance department.  Over the next few years, she continued to build upon her experience through various assignments in MetLife’s Individual Business division, Information Technology as well as Finance organizations.  In 2000, she was named an assistant vice president in MetLife’s operations and technology department.

She received a B.A. degree in economics from Columbia University, an M.B.A in marketing from Seton Hall University, and an Executive MBA in strategic management from Babson College.  Additionally, she holds the chartered life underwriter (CLU) and chartered financial consultant (ChFC) designations from the American College.

Mrs. Singleton is also a community-minded individual – both locally and globally.  She is currently a Member of the National Hispanic Corporate Achievers’ Operating Committee; in addition to serving as an Executive Producer of a documentary about Haitian orphans. She also works very closely with the Somerset/Hunterdon County Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to develop programs specifically for entrepreneurs.

Mrs. Singleton resides in Neshanic Station, New Jersey with her husband and two children.
