NHCA INTRODUCES A NEW GLOBAL DIVERSITY OUTREACH PROGRAM
New York City, NY, November 24, 2008 - National Hispanic Corporate Achievers, Inc., (NHCA) introduces a new global diversity outreach program. For over 24 consecutive years, National Hispanic Corporate Achievers has served as the time and place for major corporations to gather and recognize the accomplishments of their top employee(s) of Hispanic descent. Now, the most prestigious program of its kind in the United States will be extended to multi-national corporations to promote the advancement of diversity and inclusion of talent around the globe. NHCA will execute its mission by providing corporate partners with leadership education forums and opportunities to form networks in a global marketplace. In today’s operating business environment, multinationals can encounter complexities that disrupt the workplace. NHCA’s new initiative will help organizations around the world to leverage the power of networks.
NHCA proudly appoints Angelica Wong, Right First Time Leader Established Products and Global Contract Manufacturing, of Pfizer to lead this initiative. Angelica joined Pfizer in Peru in 1980 and has held a series of leadership positions throughout several countries including Peru, Venezuela, Central Latin America (served as regional leader for Quality Operations, production leader and eventually Site Leader of the two Valencia Manufacturing Operations that she integrated under one Leadership Team). Four years ago, she relocated to New York as Right First Time leader for Latin America / Canada. In 2005, she became Senior Director Right First Time Latin America / Puerto Rico leading eventually to assume sole responsibility as Senior Director / Team Leader Right First Time Americas Area in 2007. Recently, she was appointed as a Sr. Director Right First Time Established Products and Global Contract Manufacturing. In addition to her RFT role, Angelica has been a Member of Pfizer Diversity and Inclusion Committee (2006-2007). She currently serves as President of Pfizer Latino Network.
Angelica holds a B.S. in Pharmacy and Biochemistry from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. She lives in Princeton with her husband and two children. She enjoys traveling with her family and reading.
